Google waived off this popular feature in the latest Android Pie update

In the Android’s latest Android 9.0 operating system, Android developers reported that the Google has waived off or killed the popular Call recording feature. It means that the custom Android interface running on Android P and third-party call recording apps will no longer work on the smartphones running on Android P 9.0.

Google has taken this step to ensure the user privacy in android device, As we know the call recording has become a huge issue in several countries. Most of the countries have banned call recording, it has been treated as an offensive act.

And this is not the first time that google has decided to stop the call recording feature. When they released Android Marshmallow, they had removed the call recording API. But Google was unable to stop the App developers developing the third party call recording apps. But now with Android P 9.0 update, developers are complaining that third party call recording apps are not working properly in the Android P operating system. To make the call recording feature work, the user needs to root the phone.

Release:

Android P is expected to release in next coming months, This feature will launch with Google’s flagship smartphone Google Pixel 3. Android P has unique special features like  Smart Text Selection, Wind Down feature. Redesigned Quick Settings, New system navigation, App Timer, New Do Not Disturb mode and  Simplified Volume Controls.

Other Phone Updates:

This time Google has removed the barriers and this Android P, OS will be available on non pixel smartphones. The Smartphones like OnePlus 6, Oppo R15 Pro, Sony Xperia XZ2, Essential Phone, Nokia 7 Plus, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S and  Vivo X21. These smartphones are the first ones to get this feature activated.
